The Making of... #2
Posted by Catherine Dudley
So I wasn't going to post again until Monday or Tuesday, but this was too good not to show you guys. Do you remember that "piece of (one can only assume) Neverland rock?"
Well, I was right about the Neverland part- it is a GIANT tree- complete with lots of nooks and crannies for lost boys to climb through! Cool, huh?

You should see the other side of that Neverland; the side your showing is actually the underground where the lost boys live.
i actually did take a picture of the front side, but it looks a little strange and you can't quite tell what it is! alas, i stuck to the back side!
I also believe the Idea is that it is a tree growing out of a giant rock.
If you look closely, you can find the spot where Jessie in the first production made the smoke effect. I will not divulge that little bit of theatre magic, at least not on the Theatre IV blog, perhaps another time.
I wish someone had taken a photo of the inside of the mountain from "Wind in the Willows"...it turned and opened up to become Mole's house. Very cool...unless you had to sing a song while walking down it while it turned. Then it was scary!
